Well, if you're about to jump back into Skyrim now that the Special Edition remaster is out, here's the mod you need. It's called "Alternate Start - Live Another Life" and it let's you start the game in a totally different scenario and setting. You can skip that long boring intro, get started with character creation right away and be on your merry way, seeing Skyrim from a new vantage. (It's not entirely new, of course, but you'll end up jumping into the game at a very different point, which is cool.)
Skyrim Unbound is an alternate start mod that gives you more control of how the game starts. With Skyrim Unbound, you have multiple options to choose your start as well as play as a non-Dragonborn character. It is a Skyrim mod that skips intro, lets you choose whether to be a Dragonborn or not and manage dragon spawns. Skyrim Unbound lets you skip intro on Xbox and PC. However, it does not work on PS4.
skyrim skip bethesda intro
This Quick Start mod is created for PS4 users and allows them to skip Skyrim intro on PS4. After installing the mod on your PS4, your game will start from the Race Menu where you can create your character. No more Helgen cart ride. After selecting the race, you will have to start your journey from the keep with either Ralof or Hadvar. Choose your companion and you will be teleported in the keep to go ahead with the game normally.
Okay, enough with the intro skip mods. You already know three of them to skip opening sequence. But what about the Bethesda intro that appears BEFORE the opening sequence? None of the above mentioned mods skip that. For that, I have for you another mod.
No Bethesda Intro is a Skyrim skip Bethesda intro mod that gets rid of the Bethesda animation that appears before the opening sequence. Check the video below to see the part that is skipped by this mod.
On a more practical level, it would just make the game easier, and less frustrating, to replay. I know there are plenty of great intro-skipping mods out there. Skyrim's Live Another Life is a favourite of mine. There will probably be one for the next game too if it's afflicted with a similarly protracted opening. But I shouldn't have to rely on mods to get a good experience from a game. Whatever form The Elder Scrolls 6 takes, I'd like to see Bethesda mix up its formula and try something different. I'm not expecting a full return to the design sensibilities of the early 2000s, but the studio could learn a lot from its own past.
I'll start with intro skipping, since you're going to want that gone if you're testing any of the below. To get rid of that needless fizzing screen, head to the Steam directory where you installed the game (something like 'X:\[your steam directory]\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\Video' where X is the hard drive on which you install Steam games). In there there's a file you need to delete:
If you are like me you don't leave the game very often, but if you want to get in game just a little faster try out this tweak.Go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\VideoDelete the file GameIntro_V3_B.bk2You can also skip the intro by making this adjustment:Open C:\Users\UserName\Documents\My Games\Fallout4.ini
Why spend hours watching those same old game intro scenes over and over again? With Quick Start mod, you can skip them all and get right into the action! This mod is perfect for anyone who wants to get right into their favorite game, without having to sit through long, repetitive intro scenes.
